Dr. Viola Johnson Coleman

(September 25, 1919 - October 12, 2005)

Dr. Viola Coleman was a passionate advocate for equality and equity in healthcare.  To commemorate Dr. Coleman's impressive legacy MCHS named the flagship clinic, The Coleman Family Clinic, in her honor located at 801 E. Florida in Midland.

Midland Community Healthcare Services (MCHS) is a community-based nonprofit organization registered as a 501 (c)(3). We are a primary healthcare facility and one of the largest Federally Qualified HealthcareCenter in the region.

For over 20 years, MCHS has provided high quality health care for men, women and children. Our team of doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals blend compassionate care with their vast experience to provide patient-centered care for individuals and families at our three Midland clinics.

By offering sliding fees, state and federal grants, and numerous other programs, MCHS provides comprehensive, accessible, culturally appropriate, and cost-effective primary health care for the residents of the Permian Basin.
